  1. Hi Lilly – thanks for sending in your videos. I think first off there is a quick switch that you can do today that will help. You need to start with your right foot on the 3rd base side of the powerline. Right now, you are starting with your right foot on the 1st base side of the powerline. This is a problem as it is forcing your left foot to land on the powerline which means you are over rotating which is throwing off your timing. Starting today, change where you are starting on the rubber. Also, draw a powerline to give you visual representation on where to land with your step. Secondly, we really need to work on your lower half. Your front foot should be firmer when it lands to build resistance. Your right foot is coming up correctly on your toe, but once you over rotate your foot is now in the wrong position. Your heel ends up in front of your toe instead of keeping your foot perpendicular to the plate. If we can modify this you will get a lot more push off of the rubber rather than a slow drag. Please review the video and read my comments. Let me know if you have any questions.
